Vote is invaluable right of every citizen: Governor Abdul Nazeer

Vijayawada(Samrudha Odisha)Governor of Andhra Pradesh Sri S. Abdul Nazeer has participated as Chief Guest at the 14th National Voters Day celebrations held at Thummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sri Abdul Nazeer has said that vote is a powerful tool and invaluable right of a citizen to participate in the process of governance and the National Voters Day, underscores the significance of our democratic ethos and the pivotal role each one of us plays in shaping the destiny of our nation. He said that our collective decisions shape the composition of our legislature, the policies that govern us, and the very character of our nation and stressed on the importance of the power of a vote to usher the participatory democracy. Earlier, the Governor has released Special Postal covers on National Voters Day, administered the pledge to participate in every election, handed over Electoral Photo ID cards to young electors, and presented State-level awards to officials for meritorious work related to election duties. Dr. K.S. Jawahar Reddy, Chief Secretary, Sri Mukesh Kumar Meena, Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, representatives of various political parties, have attended the programme.
